These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kin Wire, a personalized Canadian daily news brief service operated by [Your business/legal name] ("Kin Wire," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using Kin Wire, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. What Kin Wire is

Kin Wire generates a personalized daily news brief using AI (Anthropic's Claude models) combined with live web search, based on the home city, up to two optional tracked cities (depending on your plan), any custom coverage instructions you provide, and the topics you select. Briefs are written by an AI system, not human editors, and are intended for general informational and personal use.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You sign in via a one-time "magic link" sent to your email — we don't store passwords.
• You're responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since that's how you sign in.
• One account per person. You're responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions, wallet, and billing

Kin Wire offers three ways to use the service:

• Free credit: new accounts receive a one-time free credit (currently 3 brief pulls, no card required). This is promotional, may be changed or discontinued at any time, and has no cash value.
• Wallet (pay-as-you-go): you can add funds to your account and each brief pull debits a fixed amount from that balance. Wallet funds are non-refundable once added, except as required by law.
• Subscriptions: monthly plans billed automatically until cancelled. Subscription tiers, pricing, and daily limits are shown at checkout and may change with notice. You can cancel or switch plans at any time through your account's billing management — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and switching plans is billed or credited immediately on a prorated basis.

All payments are processed by Stripe. Kin Wire never receives or stores your full card number. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial subscription periods.

4. AI-generated content — please read this one

Briefs are generated by an AI system that searches the web and summarizes what it finds. Like any AI system, it can make mistakes, miss context, or occasionally get details wrong. Kin Wire is not a substitute for official sources, emergency services, or professional advice — for anything time-sensitive or safety-critical (weather warnings, evacuation orders, emergency alerts, and similar), always verify directly with official government, emergency management, or news sources before acting.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Kin Wire for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, abuse, or track someone without their knowledge or consent.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service or its generated content at scale.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service, or attempt to bypass usage limits or billing.
• Use automated means to create multiple accounts to claim free credit repeatedly.

6. Third-party services

Kin Wire relies on third-party providers to operate: Anthropic (AI generation and web search), Stripe (payments), Supabase (accounts and data storage), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of Kin Wire is also subject to the availability and terms of these providers, which are outside our control.

7. Intellectual property

Kin Wire, its branding, and its underlying software belong to us. The information you provide (your name, locations, topic preferences) remains yours — we use it only to generate and deliver your brief, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Termination

You can stop using Kin Wire and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or fail to pay amounts owed.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Kin Wire is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kin Wire and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made based on brief content.

10. Governing law
